Talons Ultimate 2013

The 2013 season started on March 27th with a trip to the Tangle on the Turf indoor tournament in Whitby. With a lot of rookies making the trip and only 2 practices under our belts it was not clear how the team would perform. The team won their first three quite handily only allowing a total of 7 points and scoring over 60. In the semi finals the team met the hosts from All Saints and won 26-8. In the final the Talons played a team from Toronto called Northern. The game was back and forth right from the start however, in the second half the Northern team started to pull away. In the end the Talons made way to many mistakes to keep it close and they lost 14-8. The good news, however, is that despite having a lot of rookies the team still managed to get second place. Congratulations to all players.
